Born in 1946, Gerald Trudel passes his youth to Laval, close to the
river of the Thousand-Islands. It is already there the beginning of a
friendship between fauna and the artist. Later, when it has a small
house in Laurentides, the friendship is transformed into impassioned
love. It studies and tames all the animals which côtoient it. It
adores to be lost in forest, pencil with the hand, camera with the
neck. Maintaining of return close to its river to Ste-Rose, it opens
her school of painting. Gerald Trudel climbs quickly among the
animalist great painters. Its meeting with the American painter Rod
Lawrence, with its workshop in Michigan, opened doors in the United
States to him. Its tables are found in several galleries in province
in Europe and in the United States.

Elected official the artist of the year 2000 by "Unlimited Ducks" for
the contest "Lithography giver". Artist invited to the exposure
Park-Nature of the Point-with-Meadows, Montreal. He obtained the price
of the public on several occasions in various symposiums. It was
invited to give conferences on its art Beloeil, Quebec, Rivière of
the Wolf, Mount-Bay-tree and to Ste-Rose. He is a also professor at
the school of summer of Mount-Bay-tree. In September 2002, it
represented Quebec in an exposure in Barcelona in Spain. On this
occasion, it was invited to the road show of Rassegna Internazionale
d' Arte Animalista "Italy, Turin and in London, (Mall Galleries) in an
exposure of animalist art. 3rd participation in the contest of the
stamp of Quebec of the Federation of Fauna. One of its tables was
bought by the Federation of the Fauna of Quebec. Lithographies of one
of its tables were printed with the bénifices of the Foundation
Heritage Fauna of Quebec
