At the beginning of the Nineties, whereas it settles in edge of the
forest of Fontainebleau. Marie-Joelle Cédat, self-educated painter,
discovers animalist art. Dogs, horses, cows but also ducks,
woodcocks, hares, stags, wild boars appear in its compositions. Its
first portraits of pets point out it with the eyes of the specialists.
And it is naturally that it has suddenly taken part in regional
exposures then to national and international living rooms of
animalist art. In fact the dogs represent a significant part of its
production and which contribute to make known it. Of all the areas of
France and even from abroad, owners of dogs, stockbreeders, collectors
contact it and rent its talents. Then, this balance in its art finally
reached, multiplies by ten its passion. It decides into 1997 to carry
out its v?u expensive: to live of its painting.

Today Marie-Joelle Cédat forms part of the French animalist artists
most present, its pastels are permanently exposed in several galleries
in France and abroad.
