Since the age of conscience, I strove to discover the mystery of the universal language (or body language) which is for me the only way to reach the truth. I worked a lot and I found all the answers in Nature with Animals . I started with pets, then I discovered freedom with birds of prey, power with big cats; later, I spent three years with wolves and they taught me the secret of universal laws of life. I observed my models in Belgium, in France, in Germany, in England, in the US and in Portugal. With animals, I was not a human being anymore. Little by little, I could think and react like them. I lived extraordinary moments of mute conversations. Face to face, eyes to eyes, I could discover their courage, dignity, loyalty, pride and strength. I needed to immortalize that. Painting was the best language that I found. Today, my watercolors are the witnesses of wonderful adventures and magical feelings that I lived and that I would like to let you share with me. * Nicole van Axx
